Every project begins
with a conversation.

I work with writers, organizations, and communities who believe that language and image — when tended carefully — can change how people see themselves and the world around them. My editorial, teaching, and public art work all begin from the same place: close attention, genuine curiosity, and a deep respect for what you are trying to make.

I’m currently accepting new clients and inquiries for offerings below. If something here resonates, I'd love to hear about what you're working on. Send me a note — tell me about your project, your timeline, and what you're hoping to achieve.

EDITORIAL

Developmental Editing

Your manuscript already has something, and developmental editing is the work of finding it by clarifying the architecture of your argument or story, identifying where the reader needs more and where they need less, and helping you see the whole shape of what you've made.

I work with writers of literary fiction, creative nonfiction, memoir, and essay collections. My approach is collaborative and reader-centered: I am always asking what your work is reaching toward, and how we can help it get there.

Includes a detailed editorial letter + margin notes · typical turnaround 3–4 weeks

Line Editing

Line editing is where language becomes precise. I work at the sentence level, attending to rhythm, clarity, and voice. This is not proofreading; this is a close look at each sentence, phrase, and word, much like poetry.

I am especially drawn to prose that takes risks — work that is lyrical, or formally inventive, or reaching for something that hasn't quite been said before.

Delivered as tracked changes in Word or Google Docs · typically offered alongside developmental editing or as a standalone for polished drafts

Manuscript Consultation

Sometimes you don't need a full edit, rather, you need a trusted reader who will tell you the truth. A manuscript consultation is a single, thorough read of your work followed by a detailed written letter: what is working, what isn't, and a high-level picture of what the manuscript needs next.

This is a good fit for writers earlier in the drafting process, or for anyone who wants a clear-eyed assessment before moving forward.

Written letter of 1,500–2,500 words · turnaround 2 weeks

TEACHING & SPEAKING

Workshops & Professional Development

I design and lead writing, visual art, and disability accessibility workshops for groups of all kinds, including arts organizations, community programs, universities, and professional teams.

Past workshops have explored creative writing, visual arts and art history, professional development in the arts, and accessibility-centered trainings. I typically work in one-session formats or multi-workshop series.

PUBLIC ART

Mural & Public Art Projects

Public art beautifies spaces, inspires conversations, and fosters community ownership, as it becomes a part of the daily lives of local residents. I work with municipalities, organizations, schools, and community partners on murals and public art projects that reflect the specific stories, visual culture, and values of a place.

My process is rooted in listening: I spend time with the community before I begin transforming the space. Every project is rooted in conversation and collaboration.
